Sometimes it’s the little simple tips that matter. This is why today we are going to teach users how to turn on WordPress email comment notifications. We know this information because first, it is simple and second, because we are WordPress experts.

Turn on WordPress Email Comment Notification

If comment notifications are on the post author will get an email when a new comment is left on a blog that they have created. The comment notification emails will then be sent to the author using the email address they have listed in Users -> Personal Settings in the dashboard.

What is nice is that you can choose to receive an email for every comment or just for comments that are held for moderation. There are actually many more exciting features. You can change these options from the Settings > Discussion page.

  • A comment is held for moderation
